How to register for the SAARP forum

Step 1: Find the forum

In the left-hand column of this website, under the English/Afrikaans button, is a button for the SAARP forum.

Click on the SAARP forum button to go to the forum. The direct URL of the forum is: http://www.saarpforum.co.za/forum/

Step 2: Find the register link

On the SAARP forum webpage, just underneath the SAARP logo and the words SAARP Forum, are these words:

Hello There, Guest! (login – register)

Click on 'Register'.

Step 3: The registration form

The first step of the registration form is to accept the registration agreement. Read through this agreement and click on 'I agree' if you wish to continue with your registration.

Now fill in the rest of the registration form. The most important details are on the left-hand side: Account details and Additional information. You must fill in your ID number so that we can check that you are a SAARP member. Please also fill in your e-mail address carefully, as we cannot contact you without this.

On the right-hand side are preferences that you may want to set, but these are not essential. You can leave them just as they are.

Next, is a security feature – image verification - that stops computers (bots) from registering on the forum.

Type in the letters and numbers that you see in the image. It does not matter whether you use capitals or small letters. If you cannot make out the letters/numbers, press the 'refresh' button. This will give you another image. This is sometimes a little difficult, but it is essential to keep bots and viruses from the forum. Once you have entered the letters, click on 'Submit Registration'.

The system will now check whether you entered the letters/numbers in the image correctly. If you did, this message will appear: The image verification code you entered was correct.

If you have entered any other details incorrectly, for example, an invalid e-mail address, the system may give you a message that there is a problem that you need to correct. If this happens, you may need to re-enter your password.

When all the details are correct, click the 'Submit Registration' button at the bottom.

Take your time to make your way through the registration process… you only need to do it once.
